Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information
Planet T Inc. collects and uses users’ personal information for the following purposes:
To perform obligations arising from service provision, including content delivery, purchase and payment processing, shipping of products, and sending billing statements
To verify user identity for financial transactions and related services
To manage membership, including access to members-only services, prevention of unauthorized or illegal use, confirmation of registration, age verification, and obtaining consent from legal representatives for users under the age of 14
To handle customer complaints and disputes, and to provide notifications and service-related announcements
2. Items of Personal Information Collected
Planet T Inc. collects the following types of personal information:
User ID
Password
Email address
Phone number
Shipping information (recipient’s name, address, contact number)
Legal representative’s information (if the user is under the age of 14)
3. Retention and Use Period
In principle, personal information is deleted without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. However, information may be retained for a specified period as outlined below:
Information retained to prevent fraudulent use or for internal service operation may be kept for up to 1 year after account termination, in accordance with Planet T Inc.’s internal policy.
Information retained under applicable laws and regulations:
Records of contracts and withdrawal of offers: 5 years (pursuant to the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
Records of payments and supply of goods/services: 5 years (same Act)
Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolutions: 3 years (same Act)
Access logs (login records): 3 months (pursuant to the Communications Privacy Act)
Electronic financial transaction records: 5 years (pursuant to the Electronic Financial Transactions Act)
4. Right to Refuse and Consequences
Users have the right to refuse the collection and use of personal information. However, refusal to provide required personal information may result in limited access to certain services, including membership registration.
